Part two of my take on the National Conservatism conference will look at who paid for it including the network of right-wing foundations in the US, Israel and Hungary and ask, is there such a politics as “fascist-adjacent”?. At the weekend I’ll have an unedited version of a piece on Succession that should appear in the Standard tomorrow. And I’m planning a big piece on Ozempic and “fat-shaming”. Subscribers may have ideas on what they want to read, and I’ll be all ears. In the meantime, please spread the word!
Look forward to reading more about your experience at The Times (I'm a subscriber), and the change in direction of the paper. Still think it's a very good paper, with some excellent columnists, although their numbers are dwindling.
I'd like your comment on why the press, at least in the US and GB, find it so impossible to report clear lies and fabrications, rabble rousing and racist in politicians' and officials' statements and are so eager to fall back "neutrality" as a defense. If the NYT was reporting on an election between say Charles Lindbergh and Joe Biden, they would report it as "he said and he replied."
David it would be very interesting to get your views on Robert Kennedy Junior who polled 20% against Joe Biden but who has been ignored by most of the media. The son of the Senator from New York has received zero attention from the New Yorker. He has important things to say about regulatory capture and the emiseration of all but the wealthy in the United States.

This was a bit too much like clickbait for my taste..
